In this episode I quickly introduce the Podcast and what it's about, and I introduce myself.
This Podcast is about is taking concepts from big technology and teaching them to you in a bitesize way in five or ten minutes just so that when you collaborate with tech people or teams or partners, you've got some background knowledge and understanding so that you can really make the most of those collaborations.
Hi, everyone. I'll say everyone. Hi to the two people and the sofa and the Labrador. That's got this on keeping company. Um , my name's John O and this podcast is big tech on point , uh , hashtag BTOP cause apparently socials are well important. So , uh , what this podcast is about, and this really is the introductory episode. What this podcast is about out is taking concepts from big technology and teaching them to you in a bite size way in like five or 10 minutes, just so that when you try and collaborate with tech people or teams or partners or whoever, you've got some background knowledge and understanding so that you can actually kind of really make the most of those collaborations and to help you defend yourself against the that baffles brains. And this is a podcast for adults. I've just dropped my first cuss. We are less than a minute in, so , um , I'm not gonna apologize cuz you're adults. Um , but this podcast really isn't for tech people, it's for business people and people that have ventures or people that are trying to do something like a side hustle or big business that don't have , have the resources to go and hire a 5,000 pound a day consultant, tell them what they need to do. So what we are gonna do is just give you like some real bite size snapshot , snippets of information. Now it's not for tech people, obviously tech people, you're welcome to tune in if you want to and you know, drop a like or follow a subscribe or whatever, that'd be cool. Um , you're all welcome to do that. Not just S um , so there might be some stuff that I, you know, deliberately miss out some details, or I glance over it because this isn't about giving you 10 years of experience and a degree or whatever. I don't actually have a degree. Maybe we'll cover that in a different episode. Um, but this is about taking real world stuff from the text sphere and bringing it in such a, the people who don't really have any interest in tech beyond probably making some money with it or doing the thing they love with it and allowing them to, or allowing you , sorry to take that information and be able to collaborate with people better and understand some stuff. And a lot of these , uh , episodes are kind of anecdotal. This is where I've had friend a, brother-in-law a colleague peer , whoever to, they they've kind of called me or they've messaged me, or we've spoke on LinkedIn or they've emailed me or whatever. And I'm explaining something for them about the tech industry and helping them along with their journey. And I do that relatively often. And honestly I do it cause I care about people and particularly people that I know I wanna help them. The reason I'm doing this podcast is because I think actually it might be able to help a few more people. And also when I get asked the same, same questions I can say, go and check out this episode on my podcast, cuz I'm kind of a big deal now. Um , which is obviously. Cause I'm not, as I say to the two people at the Labrador. Thanks for listening. Um , so yeah, this was just the introduction. We we'll move on to some proper content. I'm gonna try and drop two episodes today. So I'm gonna drop this one to tell you kind of who I am. And then I will also drop an actual episode with some actual content, but I'm Jon O this is big tech on point and I'll see you next time.
